Maddie and Sonia’s engagement session took place at one of my favourite hidden gems—Silent Lake Provincial Park, just outside Bancroft, Ontario. As a Bancroft photographer, I’m always drawn to the way the light plays on the water here, the stillness of the pines, and the drama the skies can bring—and this night was no exception.

We wandered along the rocky shoreline as the sky started to shift. The wind picked up. The clouds rolled in. And just like that, the mood turned cinematic. Maddie and Sonia leaned into it—completely unbothered by the coming storm, laughing and holding onto each other as the first drops began to fall.
